CHILDREN’S PROGRAM
(Ages 6-8) FEES: $35

program featuring activities that highlight fine
arts & craft styles and traditions, based on
African and African-American themes. Children
will learn to identify traditional art styles
and produce works of their own based on those
styles and of local artists Amena Robinson,
Elijah Pierce, and others. |

9:00am-11:00am, Saturdays. |

Introduction to Painting
CHILDREN’S PROGRAM (Ages 9-12)
CHILDREN’S PROGRAM (Ages 13-18) FEES: $75

Students will learn the complete process of
creating a traditional fine arts painting, from
scratch; beginning with canvas preparation,
preliminary design drawings, under painting and
finally and completed work of art. |

Class Duration: 6 weeks, scheduled Tuesdays from
10:00am -12:00pm (during scheduled school
breaks) for all children’s programs;
6:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday & Friday for Adult
Classes. |
